Release Clever Linked Terms 1.3.0
It's been submitted and pending, so it will be available in a few hours. This update made a lot of improvements for glossaries, both large and small. On my test site I had 6k terms and here I have 2.6k terms.
On a side note, if anyone is using an SEO plugin that has a similar feature to SEOPress IndexNow, please comment with the plugin. I had to add an exclusion for SEOPress because on imports, especially large ones, SEOPress was hammering the server/site for the IndexNow processing. Now that process happens AFTER the terms are processed instead of during.
- Improve performance and caching for large term libraries.
- Add bulk term management, health fixes, and complete term cleanup.
- Improve import reliability, cancellation, progress, and count refresh.
- Add SEOPress-aware IndexNow queue controls.
- Preserve Block Editor definitions and special characters when saving.
- Update compatibility metadata, documentation, and user manual.
This update also fixes the tooltip hover in modals, and adds a disable tooltips toggle as well under Settings -> Help -> Enable Frontend Tooltips
By default, tooltips are enabled.
Amazing as always! I'm wondering a few things though:
- Is it possible to change the colour/look of the term link font?
- Is there a way to set the 'Max Links Per Term' setting to be per variation/synonym? I want the link/tooltip to appear once per variation/synonym per term on each page if that makes sense!
Links inherit the theme and/or fcom setting for styling. I can add an override in the next update so you can define the color if you want.
Max links is currently set globally. You can find that under Settings -> Link Behavior -> Limit Link Per Term. This will limit the number of times a term is linked on the same page. Again this is global, so it applies to every term.
I will also add the granular link limit settings for that as well in the next update.
