WordPress Uninstall Hook
1 tag
1 category
An uninstall hook runs the plugin’s registered cleanup routine when WordPress uninstalls that plugin. It is distinct from deactivation, which commonly preserves data for reactivation. Cleanup should follow the plugin’s explicit data-retention policy and check the appropriate environment. Deleting every setting or custom table during ordinary deactivation can unexpectedly destroy a user’s working configuration.
