Sliding Window

1 category
A sliding window advances by a configured interval and may overlap earlier windows. A ten-minute window updated every minute can place one event in several successive aggregates.
This supports rolling measurements but requires care when combining window outputs, because summing overlapping totals double-counts events. Window size, slide interval, timestamp choice, and boundary conventions must be specified to interpret the result correctly.
