Shortcode

A shortcode is a registered text token that WordPress expands into content through a callback. It can embed a form, glossary, or other plugin output in supported content. The callback should return its rendered result and validate supplied attributes. A shortcode’s appearance in an editor does not guarantee that every rendering context will process it or enforce the intended access rules.
