Session Window

A session window groups events associated with periods of activity separated by a configured inactivity gap. Several user actions can belong to one session even when they cross a fixed clock boundary.

Later events can bridge two previously separate sessions, depending on the processor’s lateness and merging rules. The gap defines operational grouping rather than proving that a person was continuously present or authenticated throughout that interval.
