Request Coalescing

1 category
Request coalescing combines concurrent requests for the same work so that one execution supplies the result to multiple waiting callers. If many visitors encounter one expired cache key, a shared in-flight operation can perform the database query once.
Callers still need timeouts and failure handling, and the scope of the coordinator matters. A process-local coordinator prevents duplication inside one process but does not automatically coordinate every server.
