Nonrepeatable Read

1 category
A nonrepeatable read occurs when a transaction reads a row twice and finds that another committed transaction changed or deleted it between reads. A pricing workflow might retrieve one value while validating an order and a different value while calculating the total.
The anomaly concerns an already-read row, while a phantom concerns the set matching a predicate. A stable transaction snapshot or stronger appropriate isolation can prevent the changing view.
