Glossary Term
gap
The gap CSS shorthand property sets the gaps (also called gutters) between rows and columns on multi-column, flex, and grid containers.
The gap property defines gaps between columns and rows, with the effect of the definition depending on whether the container is a grid container, a flexbox container, or a multi-column layout container. See Defining CSS gaps for more information about gaps by layout type.
The shorthand accepts one or two values. A single value sets both the row-gap and the column-gap. Two values set row-gap first, then column-gap. The default value is normal for both sub-properties; but if you declare only one value, it applies to both.
Syntax example: gap: normal;
