Dead Letter Queue
3 tags
1 category
A dead letter queue holds messages that cannot complete normal delivery or processing under the configured policy. Reasons can include exhausted retries, expiration, or explicit rejection.
Keeping these messages allows inspection and controlled reprocessing after the underlying issue is fixed. The queue needs monitoring and a retention policy of its own. Moving a message there preserves evidence but does not by itself resolve the failed business operation.
