Coordinated Omission

1 category
Coordinated omission is a measurement error in which a test stops generating or recording expected requests while the tested system is slow. A client that waits for each response before sending the next request can miss the waiting time that independent arrivals would have experienced.
The reported latency then looks better than the workload warrants. Open-loop load generation or an explicitly justified correction can expose this gap, but assumptions about expected arrival rate must be stated.
