Convergent Replication

1 category
Convergent replication means replicas that receive the same updates eventually reach the same state. The merge or conflict-resolution rules must produce compatible results despite differences in delivery order.
For example, a replicated counter can merge each replica’s accumulated contributions rather than overwrite them with whichever message arrives last. Convergence does not guarantee that intermediate reads are identical or that the chosen resolution preserves every application-level intention.
