Closure

1 tag 1 category

A closure is a function together with access to variables from the lexical scope in which it was created. In JavaScript, an inner function can keep reading or changing an outer function’s variables after the outer call has returned. This supports private state and callback configuration. Separate calls to a factory can create independent closures with their own captured state.
