Accessible Name

1 tag 1 category

An accessible name is the label assistive technology exposes for an interface element. It can come from visible text, an associated label, or defined accessibility attributes according to the element’s rules. A button with only an icon still needs a meaningful name. Match the name to the visible action so keyboard and screen reader users can understand and operate the control.
